A nest is a place of warmth, growth, & care. It’s where things are nurtured, creativity begins, & people feel safe to land. That’s what we hope The Nest is for everyone who walks through our doors. In a world that often feels rushed & overwhelming, we wanted to create a space where people could pause—where creativity, connection, and comfort come naturally.
The Nest was created from a very personal place in my life.
There was a season where I needed healing—where I was searching for peace, clarity, and a way back to myself. Along that journey, I found comfort and restoration in simple, meaningful things.
I started small...
I picked up a paintbrush, even when I didn’t feel creative. (I am being so genuine when I tell you that art is more about how it makes you feel than how it looks.)
I surrounded myself with plants and watched things grow when I felt stuck.
I got lost in books when my mind needed quiet.
I spent time in nature— watching birds and feeling a quiet, yet resilient kind of peace that reminded me of my grandmother.
I moved and I loved my body. Even when it didn't feel strong.
And slowly… I started learning how to love myself again.
None of it happened overnight. But piece by piece, those moments helped me heal.
The Nest is a reflection of that journey and my desire to share these healing practices with others.
The Nest is a "wellness sanctuary" because it’s everything I needed during that time—a soft place to land, a space to breathe, to create, to reconnect, and to just be. And it’s so much more than just a space—it’s a feeling. You can come here to slow down, breathe deeper, and reconnect with yourself. A place where creativity, community, and care all come together.
Whether you come in to paint, read, practice yoga, enjoy a cup of coffee, or simply exist for a moment… my hope is that you feel what I once needed so deeply: peace, inspiration, and a sense of belonging.
The Nest was built with intention, and it was built so I could share this *with you, *for you.
My part of “The Nest story” comes from my background in business. Through owning and managing multiple businesses across the state, I’ve had the chance to serve people not just locally, but across the world. For me, business isn’t just about transactions, it’s about people. It’s about showing up, doing things the right way, and building something others can trust.
Once Jessica came to me with an idea to create something a little different—something more personal and experience-driven— I was all in. I loved the idea of partnering in a place that mindfully serves its guests. A place where you are welcomed, all the time.
The three “zones” I’m most excited about are the gift shop, the red light therapy room, and pottery painting.
The gifts we’ve chosen reflect luxury blended with affordability. We didn’t want items that just sit on a shelf—we wanted things that are useful, beautiful, and carry a sense of purpose. Pieces that feel special when you give them and even better when you use them. You’ll find these items at The Nest.
The addition of red light therapy came from a desire to care for the whole person, especially the athletes and active people in my life. Our children are very active in sports and I want to do my part to support their whole body- but I wanted to offer the same benefits to our community. Recovery and wellness matter, it’s never too early (or late) to cherish your body.
Including pottery painting inside The Nest feels like a full-circle moment for me. My very first job at 15 was in a pottery studio, where an owner took a chance on a teenager, and that experience left a lasting mark on me. Painting pottery has always felt therapeutic. There’s something calming about the slow, steady brush strokes coming together. But the best part is the surprise—after the piece is glazed and fired, the colors come to life in a way you can’t fully see beforehand. That moment never gets old, and it brings me a lot of joy.
From a business standpoint, my goal has always been to build something that lasts—something rooted in integrity, service, and purpose. The Nest is an extension of that. It’s not just a shop or a service—it’s a place meant to serve, to restore, and to bring people together.
Whether it’s someone from right down the road or someone just passing through, I want them to walk away feeling like they experienced something genuine. I’m excited about what we’re building and grateful to share it.
